Wat Bang Phli Yai Klang or Wat Phra Non

Bang Phli Yai Klang Temple (Wat Phra Non) is located in Bang Pla Subdistrict, Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province. It was built around 1824. It is famous for enshrining Somdet Phra Sakyamuni Sri Sumet Bophit. which is the largest reclining Buddha image in Thailand It is approximately 53 meters long and is covered with a temple as tall as a four-story building. Inside the temple there are meditation rooms, pillars, and walls decorated with paintings of angels, hell, heaven, and Buddhist teachings. The Buddha´s heart lies on the fourth floor of the temple, which is an important spot where people like to gild it and pay homage to ask for blessings.

The story of Wat Bang Phli Yai Klang is one of the most interesting and important stories for the community and Thailand.
