The construction of Wat Pa Phu Kon commenced in the year 1984, driven by the dedication and inspiration of Mr. Olan and Mrs. Piyawan Viravorn. Gratitude is owed to their family for the compassionate guidance and consultation provided by the venerable monks specializing in Buddhist philosophy in the northeastern region. This was done to ensure that Wat Pa Phu Khoen is appropriately designed for meditation practice and the study of Buddhist philosophy.

It is worth noting that the construction of Wat Pa Phu Kon was a collaborative effort, with various Buddhist organizations contributing willingly, whether through material donations, labor, or even knowledge and religious expertise. The successful completion of Wat Pa Phu Kon in March 1996 is a result of the coordinated efforts and determination of all involved parties.
